Oh no criticism here they are every bit as good as any pro and better than some. To be honest I have never had to truly use my backup except that I usually have my Tokina 100 f2.8 Macro mounted as a portrait type lens and I will shoot some with it but I shoot mostly with my Sigma 24-70 HSM EX f2.8 mounted on my main body. I'm just a worry wart with weddings I always think of the worst that can happen, even with my flash for a long time I only had one and I prayed I would not have it fail, but now I have a backup I got another used SB600 so I now have two.
God bless all those in harms way and Go Navy!
