Greetings:
This is Version II, shot from a different angle, so the Sierras in the background of Version I... can be seen clearly.
Enjoy,

Just as I was leaving this location, having done a number of Landscape shots, I saw the late afternoon filtered sunlight on the granite rocks, this one, I could not pass on. N. CA Sierras south of Lake Tahoe.

This is a window shot, taken through the glass at an Antique Store in Sutter Creek, CA. The giant Incandescent Bulb provides the gentle warm glow often seen in vintage images.

Here is a shot across Red Lake in the Eastern Sierras of Northern CA. Red Lake is located 82 miles SE of Sacramento, CA on Highway 88 just a short distance east of Kit Carson Pass. The old wagon and stagecoach trail that went over Kit Carson Pass... is still visible on the right side of this frame just above the large rocks.
Most of the time during warmer weather, a Green Algae Bloom makes this lake look like a ugly green mess. This is the first time in years that I have not seen the Bloom in mid June. I could not pass the opportunity to capture this beauty above Hope Valley. The mountain peak in the distance is Hawkins Peak rising to 10,024 FT ASL it is a popular location for climbers with strong constitutions. Just twelve miles east of the peak, is the Nevada stateline.
Enjoy, Don
