One of my favourite memories of growing up is our summer holidays in the Okanagan.  Visits to Penticton were a high light of those vacations because Penticton is on a strip of land, between Okanagan and Skaha Lakes.  Penticton has grown over the years, now with a population just under 34,000 people.

During our recent stay in Penticton, our walk along the Okanagan lake front led us to some statues that best capture the spirit of kids and summer fun.

A little later, we visited a winery and a Provincial Park (Skaha Bluffs) with gorgeous view of Skaha Lake and wonderful vegetation.

Penticton is a nice town.  Thanks for looking everyone.  :)

Thank you for the kind words, everyone.

Art, you're right about the statues.  The odd thing is that there is no explanatory plaque; they're just there.  Angela and I saw them when we went for a walk along the Okanagan Lake side of the city.  They really gave me some pleasant memories.  :)
