I recently started shooting watch pics again. Here's my Russian Komandirskie 24 hour on the NATO strap called "The Lieutenant". It's a true 24 hour movement. The hour hand goes around once every 24 hours not 12.

Still shooting DX digital and don't plan on going full frame.

Very nicely done. Second one is excellent. Very minimal reflection on glass, pro quality.

Tip about shooting watches....

Minute hand on the 10

Hour hand on the 2

Forms a HAPPY FACE.  I was told this is the "best way" to shoot a watch face from a marketing perspective.

Second hand can be on the 6.... safely out of the way.

Your first watch has an unhappy face! ;)

Yes but the 10:10 position would block the Komandirskie logo.

This is a pretty cool video as well. Shows you how complicated lighting can be... but again, pay attention to the Arm setup tip...

Here's another Vostok Koandirskie. I think the strap on this one is called "The Martini".
