It's not sky.... this is a cloud, it's going to downpour, but right now it's restless and just sprinkling.

Thanks, Dennis.

Dennis, you have me scratching my head as to why you aren't sure about it.  I really like the contrast between the leaves and the sky.  You even have some clouds in the background.  To me, this is a nice image.

Last month, I shot some gorgeous golden leaves against a cloudless blue sky.  I don't see a problem with this, but other folks say it's a No No.  When I finally finish PP, I'll post a few here; and see what others think.

Meanwhile, your image gets a thumbs up from me.  :)

Thanks everyone. I had a comment, on this and the others I posted recently for Steamboat Springs, that the green against the clouds didn't look good. What is going on with these is: The sun is behind me, and the storm is forming in front. There is no sky in any of the images, it all clouds. When hiking in the mountains, you are told to be prepared as the weather can change in a few moments. The light gray clouds are churning around, and as they do, they will change to a very dark gray, sometimes green. I only takes a few minutes for the change to occur. I was lucky, as I was able to fire off a few shots before the downpour. I was just kind of wondering, as I did try to bring out the transition colors in post.

Thanks again.

Thanks, Dennis.

I like it too Dennis, I think it's great, love the contrast between the tree and the sky/clouds.
