Now I do not know this answer does LR read the shooting settings in RAW or is it like Nikon where they encrypt their data except the basics. I ask this because these were all shot in raw with 0 in camera corrections and NR set to low. What I don't know is if Fuji applies some NR and LR can read it in the file. So take when I say there is no Post Processing that is from me manipulating in LR not what Fuji does.

I used a black subject(my favorite Super Zoom the Super Nikon P900) and a fairly solid dark color in the background. Now these are in fair light as you can see I can hand hold at ISO 800 but that is still 1/15 and the exposure is good but it seems if exposed ok the x100s can really do high ISO. It can expand but the hi and low settings are JPEG only and I know Fuji would add some seasoning to the JPEG so I wanted a RAW evaluation.

All where shot at f8 and hand held.

They are solid, Jim.

Maybe... and I say, maybe, you can see some extra noise at 6400 but you have to look.  I was focusing on the door handle as my reference point.

Very nice camera!

Lightroom and ACR have access to all the lens correction data so you don't need to apply profiles manually but otherwise the raw files are left alone so what you see here is the underlying characteristics of the sensor.

Its amazing to think that the underlying tech in that sensor is the same as Sony first used in 2011 for their NEX5n then sold on to Nikon for the D7000 and Pentax for the K30 etc.

I didn't know that anyone else used an Xtrans Sensor.

The original X100 had a CMOS sensor but from my research the X100s and T use the same Xtrans Sensor used in the XT-1.

Only the filter over the sensor makes it X-TRANS, the pixels themselves (the main sensor bit) is the standard Sony job you can find in countless cameras over the last few years. Same goes for the new one in the X-T and X-Pro 2 bodies, under the fancy Fuji filtering you'll find Sony guts.

Same story here.  What little noise there is can be easily fixed in PP.

Nice camera, Jim.
