After only one month, I can truthfully say that Project 52 is helping me learn new things with every assignment.

In our latest assignment, I learned that ad agencies use tear sheets, to prove to the client that the ad was actually published.  Our assignment was to go through magazine ads and identify ads that we thought that we could realistically duplicate with the resources available to us.

I LOVE camera lenses!  :)

Thanks for looking everyone.  :)

Cool!

Tear sheets are also useful for photographers in their portfolios to show publications where their work has been published.

Well done Mark

Thanks, Dennis.

Many thanks for the kind words, everyone.  :)

Robin, to answer your question, Project 52 is an on-line learning community that was founded by Phoenix-based photographer Don Giannatti.  I would say that the "course" is designed for people who want to take their photography "game" to the next level, focusing on commercial and related photography.  There is a fee for the course, but participants have access to one-to-one mentoring, mutual support and weekly critiques.  I'm enclosing a link right below:

Former PN member Charles is a big fan of Don Giannatti, and I've been a serious fan of his since I took his first table top photography course through Creative Live.  Sadly, while Creative Live is going through some turmoil, Don's videos are still available for purchase.  Here's a link to the Creative Live web site.

My final comment:  if you like the way that feedback is given, here at PN, you will LOVE Project 52!   :)  :)  :)
