Picked up a black FE in very good condition, along with a Nikkor 50mm f1.4 AI-S, Series E 28mm f2.8 (2nd generation), Series E 75-150mm f3.5 (2nd generation) and an SB-10 (that I have yet to get working). All the lenses are crystal clear with only minor dust in them; smooth focusing and snappy aperture rings; and, of course, the zoom has some creep, but the 28 looks like it was just pulled out of its' box for the first time!!

I love it when people inherit stuff with which they have little or no knowledge.

==========================================================
Digital: D610 backed up by a D1x.  Quoted from an unknown source by a fellow planeteer, "Never get rid of a working D1x." I've got to agree.

Film: N90s, F3, F100, F4s, C330s. A few lenses.

Why film photography? I like shooting with the equipment. 6x6 Velvia slides from a C330 have an appeal all their own.

Why automated 35mm/Digital cameras? Event photography is about capturing moments. It often requires quick response. Well done automaton can be your friend or your enemy. It all depends on knowing what it can and can't do. "A man's got to know his (camera's) limitations." paraphrasing Dirty Harry...

It was a long, tiring day, and I was a bit preoccupied with my "baby" girl's first trip on her own - my 18 year old daughter and her BFF went to Disney World yesterday, all on their own!! They are safely there, "enjoying" the 30°C+ temperatures along with the 90%+ humidity :wacko:.

Also came with the bottom piece of CF-??, manuals for the FE and the lenses, one of those cheesy black and yellow "Nikon" straps that doesn't look like a strap that Nikon would make but probably came out of Nikon USA, a Nikon L1Bc filter with case, an old school Eddie Bauer case, a couple third party lens pouches (which have been on my wish list for a while), an EH-61 power adapter/charger for Coolpix 2100 and 3100 cameras (??? - but no Coolpix camera :wacko:), and three rolls of Kodak 200 print film.
