The wife was knitting and I needed something to do.  So I took up paracord.  Made some belts, dog leashes, etc.  I always wanted a Black Rapid style camera strap.  So after three different models I came up with this one.  (The original design is now a leash).

This is my heavy duty version for the Big Tammy.  I picked up a tripod screw from Black Rapid that allows the me to hook a clip into it.  It is made with two different cords weight, the shoulder piece is made by adding loops and then dropping them.  Much like knitting.  I have since learned to to it more smoothly so the outside doesn't look ragged. This has worked quite nicely.  Most of the time I carry the camera cradled in my arms but if I need my hands free I can let the camera hang.

The lighter version attaches to two drop lines that attach to the camera strap loops.  I also added drop straps to my packback to carry the camera on my shoulders instead of my neck.  When I use this strap I keep the camera in my hand.

Rather, interesting. No irritation from the chords?

Thanks, Dennis.

Dennis, no chaffing but I haven't tried it in a Tee shirt yet.

Art, I will try to put together some information on making them, still making mods.  Not sure what all of the knots are that I used will look it up so people can find the techniques for the process.  My next one will be a double rig.(After I get another camera)
