I have been taking pictures at the Tour de Cure for 4 years and it was suggested a couple of years ago that I put up a site and sell.  I didn't feel right selling photos from a charity event, however after being asked to shoot at three events (two are done) and getting asked while I'm shooting where will the pictures be, I decided to stand up a site, sell at a modest mark-up and return some money to the event.  It has taken me about three weeks to pick a host, configure the site, process the photos and upload them.  The hardest part was getting my domain name configured to work at SmugMug.

In addition to the Tour event pictures I am also going to load up some of my other work to see if I can move some of that as well.

Anyway, except for some minor text editing and a couple of other tweaks I am up and running.

Any suggestions would be helpful.  Will keep you posted as to the progress.  I am working on some of my nature/wildlife/scenic/travel, etc to add in.  Also working on a watermark to use as well.

Congratulations, Cliff.  Very nice site.  Seems to work smoothly.

Who are you using?

Is it a SmugMug template?

Art, it is a default SmugMug template. In my desire to get it stood up I have not explored other options.  I will look at other layouts after I learn more about how it works.

Don, thanks for the heads up, not sure the fix.  Its odd because they all reside in a private gallery and the wren displays while the rest don't.  Probably best my profile picture doesn't, don't want to scare too many people ;~).

I found the problem.  They were in a gallery with private settings.  I thought that would hide the gallery and let people see the images if I used them on the page.

Are you paying the fees?  Or using the basic package?

I am very curious to see how this turns out for you, please keep us posted if you don't mind.
