I have a copy of the 180mm F2.8 lens too. I like the lens and have used it a lot. I think it is the only F2.8 lens (other than a macro) that goes to F32.. Great image to show off the lens image quality potential.

This lens weighs a ton, so there is a lot of weight hanging of the lens mount, a collar would have been a great option

I bought the AI-S version last year. Great lens. I use it mostly for astrophotography but just got a Canon 500D so will be doing some close ups with it soon.
