While doing some landscape photography at Silver Lake, CA... I came across this Snow Flower... (Sarcodes) illuminated by a narrow stream of sunlight that was passing through the forest. However, this plant does not require sunlight...they have no photosynthesis process, they utilize nutrients below the soil, fungus and root structures to provide the necessary nutrients for them to grow. They are parasitic in nature but, non-the-less, still pleasing to the eye.
Enjoy,
Don 😎
