In Topic: Best BIF shots so far

I have the tamron 150 to 600 G2 mounted on a d500.  I will tell you when i first got the lens i got very few keepers.  The more i shoot with the lens the higher my keeper rate goes up.  The hardest thing for me to do is to track when at 600 mm.  I tend to track at 450 to 500 and then when the bird seams to settle into a flight pattern i will zoom out as i'm shooting.  I have found i get more keeper shots this way.  Many of the keepers i get are less than the 600 mm but allows me to crop a little and get far sharpers images.   I will also tell you that I'm very happy when i get 10 to 15 keepers out of 100 shots when photographing fast birds in flight.  It's tough at any time  Keep shooting  is my best advice.
