A couple of months ago, a well-respected writer in the city died of cancer. His name was Mike Kennedy and he used WUNS or WUNDER when he painted.

Since then, his crew have been dedicating productions to him around the city. These three photos are from Graffiti Alley; an area in Toronto where the walls are legal for writers to paint.

Taken with Nikon D3100 & Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 II in light flurries.

Very nice, Jason.  You need to put a book together of your Graffiti images!

Very nice, Jason.  You need to put a book together of your Graffiti images!

I've thought about doing some stuff but I'm not sure about the legalities (intellectual property, etc.)

A Montreal graffiti artist sued a TV show, 30 Vies, for 45K because they used his tag in the opening and on billboards promoting the show. I can't find anything about what the judge ruled in English. This artist also died a few months ago of cancer.

Another Canadian graffiti artist I follow was contacted by Global recently. They're filming a new DC comics series and requested his permission to use his art in Chinatown as a backdrop (see attached photo).

So, I'll need to do some research first.  :)
