I combined two suggestions one from Art the Architecture and Mark something old. So lets go out and shoot all that Old or Retro stuff we pass everyday!

Anything that can take a picture is OK!

Jim

PS I want 4 pages guy 4 pages on this one. :D

I picked out a bunch so I can contribute to the 4-page goal.  Here's the first couple.  Will post more as time goes on.  What constitutes a page here - is it a specific number of posts, or a specific page length measurement?

This is the rotunda at the old Cleveland Trust Bank building in Downtown Cleveland, Ohio.  It's now a dining commons at a Heinen's grocery store.

This is the conference room at the Gates Mills, Ohio city hall.

Digital: D610 backed up by a D1x.  Quoted from an unknown source by a fellow planeteer, "Never get rid of a working D1x." I've got to agree.

Film: N90s, F3, F100, F4s, C330s. A few lenses.

Why film photography? I like shooting with the equipment. 6x6 Velvia slides from a C330 have an appeal all their own.

Why automated 35mm/Digital cameras? Event photography is about capturing moments. It often requires quick response. Well done automaton can be your friend or your enemy. It all depends on knowing what it can and can't do. "A man's got to know his (camera's) limitations." paraphrasing Dirty Harry...

One more to get the ball rolling.  This is an old business establishment in the Rhyolite Ghost Town near Death Valley.  It's actually in Nevada.

Great images, I shudder to think what went on in there.

Thanks, Dennis.

Jason,

Very nice.  I just love ART DECO!!!  Wow!

Is there any way to get to the top of that building?  There are heads on the exterior I would love to photograph.

Thanks, Art! I've wanted to shoot those for awhile now. That outdoor patio has been closed for a number of years due to safety issues. Perhaps email someone to ask permission? I don't know how to go about that (would probably have to sign a waiver that relieves them of all liability if something were to happen).

Let's keep the ball rolling people - gotta hit 4 pages before May 1.

This is a house built in the early-to-mid 1800s.  Its now part of a museum called Hale Farm and Village in Cuyahoga Falls, OH.  They literally preserved an entire small town and they have people walking around in period clothing during the summer season.  They also have civil war reenactments in the fall.
