Nikon's only car charging device for EN-EL3 series (includes the D200's "e" battery) runs $204 at B&H Photo. That's, uh, a bit hard to believe. The standard AC-only version is just $45 (good margins there too for a simple production item sold in the thousands). That's enough for four more batteries!

But there is an alternative - check this out:

Or, you could buy an inexpensive 120/12V inverter at Wal-Mart and plug the house charger into your car. We do this all the time. Here's why: Digital Darrell - Nikon D2X Digital Brenda - Nikon D200 Digital Emily - Nikon D100 Digital Hannah - Nikon D70 Digital Ethan - Nikon D50 Can you imagine the batteries & chargers lying around our house?
