I didn't check, but I bet she's been coaching a long time at this school.  Temp was around 45˚F on a cloudy day.

#260081 A bad week for electronic devices

Posted by fotofill on 02 March 2019 - 09:21 PM

Well, until something else quits working, here's the set up. One enclosure has 10T+2T, the other is 8T+2T, and the toaster has 2- 2T drives and is off most of the time. I shoot 3-5 days a week and I save everything. I process and save those images. I shoot about 350 images for basketball, I checked this week. I did a shoot for a yearbook company today. I ended with 80 processed images out of 450 raw shots.

I do not save anything on the computer HD. I want the fastest processing possible.

The lone external on left of photo is a backup for laptop.

I like that the girl in the back is like...I want no part of this. It's soft and noisy, but it fun to see the activity.

#258889 Thud, the sound of gear hitting the floor.

Posted by fotofill on 10 January 2019 - 01:11 AM

Here's a little issue I am dealing with. Anyone using a camera strap system, knows to keep checking the tightness of the keeper that resides in the tripod socket. The short of the story, I didn't and a D5 with 24-70 hit the gym floor. Camera is fine with no mount problems. The lens is in two pieces with the from element section separated from the rest of the lens.

I called my friend at Roberts and bought a nice used one. I then took photos of the injured lens and sent them to https://www.peachtreecamerarepair.com/ in Atlanta.I sent info 3 times and heard nothing back. I live in Nashville, 3 hours way.

I finally sent the lens to http://www.nikoncamerarepair.com/ in the Chicago area. I had heard that they used to be a Nikon repair station, but they do more than that now. It's a 24-70 2.8 and I will sell it somewhere upon return.

Those Black Rapid connectors are TIGHT now and forever more.
