HIGH SIERRA SNOW IN JULY

It was July 31st when I shot this image from Highway 88 about 7 miles west of Kirkwood Meadows. Highway 50 is behind the mountain ridge in the center of the image frame. Amazing how the snow is still on the high mountains of the sierras in late July. That ridge line is, left-to-right…Jacks Peak, Dicks Peak and Pyramid Peak… Lake Tahoe is just miles NE of those peaks.

Camera: D3, Tripod Mounted, W/70-200mm Nikkor. PP Adobe LR & CS6. Shot location, app 30 miles airline from the Peaks.
Enjoy,

Don
