Russian Roulette
The flight with an Aerosoft A319 takes us from Nurnberg (EDDN), Germany to Moscow, Sheremetyevo Airport (UUEE), Russia.
A reasonably smooth flight with considerable cloud cover.
Flight time: 2 hours, 47 minutes
Our flightplan
Ready for departure at Nurnberg Airport
We are instructed to taxi to runway 28 (280 degrees) for take-off
Taxiing along snow-covered airport grounds
The Control Tower advises that we can runway 28
With engines screaming, we race down the runway and reaching our rotational speed, we head for the skies above
Climbing into the skies over snow-covered landscape
Above the clouds
Having reached our cruising altitude of 35,000ft (FL350), it's time for... you guessed it, a coffee break!
Eventually over White Russian territory
Upon getting near to our destination, we are required to make a number of turns in accordance with Standard Terminal Arrival (STAR) procedures
Cockpit view from 8,000ft (FL80)
External view
As we further descend, we line up for our approach. We can faintly make out the airport runways in the distance
We are assigned to land on runway 06R (60 degrees, right-hand side)... our landing gear is lowered and flaps are fully extended
On the approach
Having landed at Moscow's Sheremtyevo Airport, we make our way to our assigned terminal
Whilst parked at our gate, it starts snowing
Hope you brought your fur coat as the outside temperature is minus 13deg.C
Thanks for looking & I hope you enjoyed the ride.

Another good series, Herman.
However, I see that the First Officer is still missing. Given Aeroflot's record, over the years, this time he was probably passed out in the washroom.
