They can be staged or natural, the subject can be anything from people to buildings. As usual any camera including the Nikon Z7, yes Dennis this was your challenge request so you have to shoot one with the Z7!
Today I picked up prints from the wedding I did now my first two sets to the bride was done by a high end lab but today she wanted two additional sets cheap so I used Sams club and to my surprise they were excellent I mean really excellent. Now I did have their auto correct turned off and they use good Fuji paper but they were every bit as good as the pro lab and half the price and when you are making 600 prints price does count.
So this leads to my thoughts I have tons of slides I love to look at and some prints but in my film days I shot mostly slide film. So we talk all the time of looking at our photos on our 4K and 5K iMacs and high end 4K LG monitors etc but looking at these prints today reminded me that photos still look better as a slide or print. The colors were rich and I could hold them, turn them in the light to see the colors pop and again HOLD them. It cost around 85$ at Sams for 600 prints so I have decided to start printing my best digital images on 4x6 prints and storing them in archival boxes. My wife enjoyed looking at the prints much more than looking over my should at my iMac or using a phone. So far I have selected 250 shots and most likely will be over a 2000 when I am done but for just around $280 I will have all those wonder memories in a hand held form that is how we started taking pictures.
I am sure many of you do this already but I have gotten away from it and printing at home cost more than printing at the lab now since with my membership and volume its less than 14 cents a print I can not come close to that at home closer to .35 cents a print maybe more.
Ok rant over just nostalgia kicking in but I love holding a slide or print.
