The first one is a hybrid mallard known as "Duclair Duck". The other two are regular male mallards.

Shot with Z7II and NIKKOR 500mm F5.6E.

Thanks :) I'm enjoying them a lot. There's so much to learn on the body itself which has been fun, and sometimes confusing. Lots of experimenting and entirely new worlds have been opened to me.

Nice!! l like how you captured the green head of the mallards. ln poor lighting it appears to be black but these have good light.

Thanks :) Here around the city, their colour can range from green to a green with a purplish strip-type marking down the middle of their head. I've seen some that look more purplish all around than green, too. I'm not sure if it's a seasonal thing (when they get brighter during mating season) or a genetic/hybrid thing.

It's been a strange year. I was kind of forced into a hiatus for most of it and am glad I've been able to get back out and into the groove again.
