Essentially anything that is not a DSLR or the top end Mirrorless cameras like Olympus and Fuji. So dust off those Point and Shoot camera, get out an old polaroid camera and even your cell phone and lets see what we can come up with.

I understand how you feel, Paul. 

 

To answer your question, I don't think that the resolution from a phone camera will ever exceed the resolution from a high level DSLR.  Note that I said "high level".  Phones are already giving entry level DSLRs and P & S a run for their money.  However, phones still don't have readily interchangeable lenses, and the adaptors that I've seen don't impress me very much.  So that leaves P & S square in the cross-hairs.  Oh dear!  :o

There are a wide variety of clip on lenses for both iphones and androids available, as well as mini tripods, etc. I haven't tried them yet, though. There are even flash diffusers for cells [some people just use tissue] but I don't know how well they work.
