Every once in a while, Craigslist has a real deal.  Today, I picked up these gems:

Nikon FG, 50/1.8 Series E, a Five-Star 70-200/4.5, Nikon SB-15 speedlight and a CPC case.

All for a whopping fifty bucks!  I think the camera will need new seals, but so far it all seems to be working.

Happy birthday to me!

Yes, it really is.

Don't mind me..... I'm just out roaming around between Zone II and Zone IX.

The FG was the first Nikon I bought with my own money. Great little camera, nice and light, decent feature set and nice to see an E-Eeries with the silver ring.

Make sure you put new batteries in as they're notorious for locking when they get a bit low - if it does, turn the shutter dial to M90 which usually free's the mirror and if that fails get a thin towel or similar bang it down hard on its base.
