Nice series, Herman.
I was particularly interested in the Cirrus SR22 because it has a built-in parachute for the entire aircraft. The only disadvantage, as I understand it, is that once the parachute is used, the entire aircraft is a write-off.
As far as I am concerned write the plane off if I can walk away. I am not a fan of these small planes lost a few friends in 3 different crashes over the years one of which I was asked if I wanted to fly with them but I had to work, mothers day 1991.
The video is hard to follow some times it looks like it is dropping at breakneck speed others it looks slow and soft the landing looked ok but it was in water.
Might have to find another video to gauge the true rate of decent.
