I hope they don't.  I think their road map should be nothing but Z and only Z and leave it at that.

Have some really solid body offerings and make two lines of lenses, Pro and Consumer and move on.

Thank you, Art.  Very much appreciated.

Experimentation is definitely the next step.  I actually tried a few things while shooting this.  I found that I could change the size of the reflections on either side of the glass by moving my soft-boxes in and out.  Light is absolutely fascinating.  :)

Welcome, Mark.

Isn't it though!  Some photographers manage to exploit light brilliantly.  If makes you drool when you understand it, but can't quite get there!

I think the most successful photographers understand light and then shape a look that defines their style.

I took these images last summer.  I was working a file for a client and I came across this image and I was floored I missed it last summer.

Sounds fascinating, Herman.  It is very tempting to get back into it. The screen shots are amazing and I can only image the attention to detail.

Computer technology has come a long way in the last two decades, the level of realism in games and simulators has leaped forward exponentially.

So cool, looks like a great program! Thanks for sharing.

I used to love Flight Simulators, spent some time many, many years ago with the Microsoft Flight simulator.  It was OK, I just found it to complicated to really get into and very little reward.

I later got into a World War I shoot which I just loved and they company went out of business eventually.  I tried a jet fighter simulator, didn't like the feel and one other won before I gave up on them.  Eventually, I moved to first person shooters on Playstation until I weened my self completely from this type of gaming, mostly due to lack of time.

Non of these compare to the detail you show above, very impressive.

I try to avoid those discussions.  More times than not, someone makes a post to bait people into responding just to get everyones fur up.
