At the end of July, Angela and I thought that it would be fun to take in a show of hot rods and classic cars that was being sponsored by the local casino.
Unfortunately, our domestic chores took chores took much longer than expected; and the show was winding up by the time we arrived. A lot of the more interesting vehicles had already left. Throw in the discomfort from a very hot day, and my enthusiasm was ebbing rapidly.
Having taken the time to drive over there, I decided to make the best of what I thought was a bad situation by just shooting whatever caught my fancy. If this resulted in some nice car images, great. If it resulted in some interesting vehicle badges, that was OK to.
I received a big surprise when I reviewed my images at home. The car badges had far more potential than most of the car images. So, I went with the flow.
Some of the badges are iconic; others are not. Then there are one or two really cool accessories. When you put them altogether, they can say a great deal about the Car Culture.
For car image purists, there is an abstract view of an Impala.
The one thing that I have noticed about car shows is that the owners can be just as interesting as the vehicles.
Thanks for looking, everyone.
