Apparently, all you need to capture an image of a King Fisher is $25,000 and you are good to go.

Not the best image, taken in harsh, brutal light from behind, best angle I could get.  However, here he is!  I have never, EVER managed a King Fisher before.

He was doing all sorts of heroics in the water but too far away for an image.  So, I guess I need to up the ante and get more expensive gear!

Pocket change.

Thanks, Dennis.

Nice shot, Art.

I guess that if anyone wants that lens, they will have to take a course on Creative Bank Robbery.

If you weren't so tight about not entering bird photo contests, you could get some money to pay for 1/50 of the price of the gear. lol
