Use one of the tripods you have but get a good video head for it. Be either cheaper or get you a better quality head.

BP, the only one that I have is the tripod that is has not been shipped from Germany yet. They anticipate in July, my photo goodies will depart. PhotoConny works there and keeps a watch over her daddy's stuff.

I have a monopod at present.

But expert advice.

Hmm Jazz not sure I would buy a dedicated video tripod I might save for a top of the line photo tripod and then just swap heads as BP said. I found that video tripods are heavy and klunky and when shooting video with a DSLR like the D600 they do not add anything over a top of the line photo tripod.

I'm with Jim here. I use the Manfrotto fluid video head and I just swap it with my ballhead whenever I need to shoot video.

I used my 70-200mm f2.8 yesterday during my daughter's high school band performance inside a gym. I find it amusing that most of the dads were using their ipads and iphones to video their kid's performance.
