I'm selling a 55-300VR lens. I got the Tamron 16-300 and do not need this one anymore. I'd say it's in exc+ by KEH standards. Just tried tt out on the D40. Everything works-AF and VR. Glass is good at both ends. If you want pics just ask. Hood, both caps, and case included. $195usd shipped to cont. USA addresses. I take Paypal.

Reckon this would suite CBN very well with his D50...

Hope he sees it.

Thanks Herman. I imagine this one may be hard to sell since many are dumping their DX stuff for FX. There's hundreds of 55-300's on Ebay. I got the Tamron 16-300 and do not need this one anymore. Nowdays seems like DX has become "the wife's" format. Many posts on the photo forums where the guy has FX and his wife has DX.

Thought of Craig's list?

I've had many negative experiences with Craig's list, at least in my city. They try to lowball you with a text "Will you take $XX for it?" And the price they offer is much much lower than what you're asking. I've had many folks say they'll be over at a certain time to look at something and never show up. I've had some try to say there's something wrong with the item so they can get it cheaper. I'd rather ship it to someone and be done with it than deal with the hassles of trying to sell something locally.

Bill, why not send a personal PM to CBN. Perhaps he hasen't seen your message.

Just a thought!

I know what you mean about Craig's List.  I simply won't use it anymore, for many of the reasons that you mention.  If I'm selling camera gear, I'll sell to a store that buys used gear; or through my camera club.

It's a good thing I bought it used. Otherwise I would have got 1/4 instead of 1/2 of what I paid for it. Think I'm not going to buy DX gear new anymore. Used, refurbed, or only new if it has a hefty rebate. With the full frame craze going on now DX gear is sinking in resale value.
