As the FB members of the Planet know I spent a week in Portage on Kenepuru Sound (Marlborough Sounds NZ) 11-18/11/17. The house we rented was rather amazing and the setting amongst native bush was very much a paradise. All taken with the D850... lenses in these cases 16-35 f4, 35 f1.4

Great shots! I wish I could have spent some time in New Zealand when I was stationed in Australia, but never got the chance. It’s on my bucket list. Jeff

Beautiful photos Peter, what a spectacular locale. Did you get to do any fishing?

We tried a bit of fishing one evening over the hill behind the Portage Hotel in Torea bay. There is a convenient floating jetty, very clear water... we fed lots of fish, only caught a couple of undersize guys which went back..saw a leatherjacket which came to investigate and a good size ray went cruising past. However my son discovered a good supply of green tipped mussels clinging to the underside of the jetty...so we went home with half a bucket of mussels.
