The assignment was to create an image, for commercial use by the artist, including web sites or public relations. While posing with an instrument was quite acceptable, "live" performance shots were not allowed.
We quickly solved the dilemma of who to photograph. One of our acquaintances has a brother-in-law who plays in a Maple Ridge band. Alex was looking for images that he could use for a web site, social media and a possible album cover. This led to a very pleasant afternoon session with a very nice guy.
I used 2 Godox Sk-300 studio strobes with soft-boxes. Power was at low setting. Other information:
- ISO 64
- 24-70/f2.8 @ 46mm
- 1/125 sec
- f11
During the class, Don suggested one small change to exposure on the face. We also all learned about "dot gain". I love this course!
Thanks for looking everyone.
