This is a lens that just seems to always end up pushed to the back of the cabinet. I don't know why, it's a really good lens for a lot of the kinds of images I like to take. It's compact, decent image quality wide open, cheap, what's not to like? 


Here is a sample image just shot with natural light, hand held, ISO 3200, 1/125 sec., F2.8 on the D800E.

Its a great lens I shot a whole soccer season with it and my FM3a back in 2003 when my daughter was in HS!

I have that lens. It has awesome sharpness like the 100 and 75-150 Series E lenses.


Still shooting DX digital and don't plan on going full frame.

D7100, D40, Canon M50, and a few 35mm film bodies

Man I miss that lens.  Should have never sold it, or my 75-150.  I still have the 28mm 2.8, 50mm 1.8, 100mm 2.8, and the 70-210mm f4 though.

I remember when the 135 was the length to get for telephoto.  I have the 50 & 100.
