Ok I found a TC-17e, and it arrived today. My issue is trying to get it attached to a lens. I have tried my Nikon 300mm F4 IS ED as well as my Nikon 70-200mm/2.8 D. Neeedless to say I am not certain what the issue is yet. Anyone who has these able to mount the TC to the lens?

The TC 17E II is an AFs only converter Greg....I looked at the compatability chart and no AF lenses are mentioned...are these two lenses of yours AF or AFs ?

Oops! Greg, when I gave you my opinion on the TC17E-II, I had not taken note of your lenses used. I combine it using my G-series Nikkors.

Peter, is quite correct with his response.
