Looks like Tamron isn't fazed by recent Nikon announcements:

The Nikon equivalent is the 16-35, currently priced at $1,500 CDN.  Using today's exchange rate, the Tamron is almost $600 CDN cheaper; and is a faster lens.

Once Nikon figures out the mirrorless thingy, they have some unfinished business.  :)

Tamron and Sigma are both making excellent lens and are more affordable.

Agree.

Healthy competition never hurt anyone.  Especially Nikon.  ;)
