a Japanese F 8 Ariel camera.

 

sent to DC for study and evaluation.

has the complete set of B&W filters too.

 

basically a copy of the Fairchild F-8.

vertical focal plane shutter 1/30-1/400.

25cm f4-f9 lens with IR compensation.

24 exposures per roll of film.

 

Ok 7" wide roll film may be a tad difficult to find and process, but I will eventually try to place a 5x7 sheet in there to give it a test.

 

Moon shots? Maybe from Little Round Top or the top of the PA monument.

 

It's surprisingly light an easy to use hand held

a guy who owns a shop here in town got it from a man who bought it at one of the surplus auctions in the '50s.

I paid $500, which considering the original crate, and filters is a steal.
