"This Century Kodak Camera was used by Al Gilbert and his father Nathan from 1928 to 1945."

Taken with Samsung Galaxy 7. I would've like to get a full shot of this camera but the store was closed. The camera itself was set up just a few inches from the window on a sharp angle so it was hard to get any other shot without serious glare and reflection.

Dubbed the “Ambassador of Canadian Photography", Al Gilbert is known internationally for his classic portraits of prominent people.

Ripley’s Aquarium hosts several rare undersea critters in its new Curious Creatures: From the Travels of Robert Ripley exhibit, set inside a replica of the Mon Lei. In addition to the new animals, Curious Creatures also features a number of artifacts, the likes of which Robert Ripley would have found on his travels.

I was unable to take the picture I wanted the most in this room because the Peacock mantis shrimp refused to come out from behind its rock. Their punch carries as much force as a .22 calibre bullet and Ripley’s had to commission a special tank, so the shrimp couldn’t punch through the glass. The Giant isopods also weren't cooperating.

Anyways, here's some of the other things in that room:

Fiji Mermaid

Fish God Totem

Indonesian Demon Mask

Indonesian Wood Mask

Indonesian Garuda

Shrunken Head

Ship of Cow Horns

Frogfish

Walking Batfish

Sarcastic Fringehead.

This sculpture is a replica of one placed in Kensington Gardens, next to Hyde Park, London, in 1912. The statue itself shows Peter Pan standing on a tree stump playing a flute while a collection of fairies, rabbits, squirrels and other little creatures hide in the nooks and crannies of the trunk.

Taken with a Samsung Galaxy 7.

The story behind it is interesting: https://torontoist.c...irit_of_childr/
