On Ebay l ordered a Canon M to M42 tilt adapter that allows infinity focus.Couldn't find a Canon M to Nikon tilt adapter, only M42. After 4 weeks the adapter arrived from China(why can't l find the cool gadgets on this side of the world?). Tilting to the left allowed me to get the cars in focus front to back at f/8. ln the last photo you can see the tiny 2mm brass extension tube that allows wide angles to focus a little closer. l made it when l was a machinist. The lens is a 28mm f/3.5.

Should check the driver of the first Datsun, he's got a lot of curb rash on those rims!

lt changes the direction of the focus plane. Notice the first image is not in focus from front to back. On the 2nd shot l tilted the lens down to get the top of the film box in focus front to back(well, not perfect-l didn't line up the box perfectly). And the bottom of the box is out of focus.
