These are the kinds of photos I shoot when at a festival in a TN town. This was called The Barrel Festival. Here's the catch...it was in Coopertown, TN. They pay a master cooper from Scotland to come over and do demonstrations.

Nice series Phil. But wouldn't it be cheaper to hire a master cooper from, say, Lynchburg, TN instead? (It's a 2 hour drive!!)

No, they don't want anyone from there. The barrel in photo came from there. There was no RAW wood being used for demonstration. And, I learned that, that distillery buys barrels from other sources.
