My main flash for doing photojournalism is SB910. It works first time, every time. I have a couple rubber bands on it to put my Minute Maid, home made, diffuser on it if needed. I know someone out there has made one.

My backup WAS a Sigma 610. Well, the short story is that I had to use my backup, since Nikon strobe was in my wife's purse.

The thing was dead. Normally I put tape over terminals of devices that don't get used. I leave the tape showing to remind me to pull it when I need the device. Flash meter has it and back up flash "should have."

I talked to Art about the flash he has, and bought a similar model. Its a Yong Nuo YN685. It was 104.00. It will do much more than I need. I looked at this one and a Godox. The shoe on GoDox supposedly has one contact point, this had four contacts. I read as much as I could stand, then made the purchase.

Congrats, Phil.

I have had mine quite a few years, continues to work solidly.  Should bring you years of trouble free service.  And, how can you beat the price?

Congrats, Phil.  I've had mine for one year.  Knock on wood, it works fine.  Also, Art is spot-on about the price!  :)

I am going to use it Sat. for flash fill. Music festival in bright sun with people wearing hats. I used to shoot those with camera upside-down. Hmmmm have not tried that in long time.
