This one comes from JasonTO each month I will look thru the suggestions and create our monthly challenge.

So lets see all that stuff that is just wasting away it can be anything in a state of disrepair or deterioration. Anything that you can take a picture with is welcome so lets get some very cool photos posted this month.

Jim

One of my favourite subjects to shoot. I'm hoping to get out with my camera this weekend for this challenge. Anyways, I've been working on my photos from a trip to New Brunswick last September, and found these:

Digital: D610 backed up by a D1x.  Quoted from an unknown source by a fellow planeteer, "Never get rid of a working D1x." I've got to agree.

Film: N90s, F3, F100, F4s, C330s. A few lenses.

Why film photography? I like shooting with the equipment. 6x6 Velvia slides from a C330 have an appeal all their own.

Why automated 35mm/Digital cameras? Event photography is about capturing moments. It often requires quick response. Well done automaton can be your friend or your enemy. It all depends on knowing what it can and can't do. "A man's got to know his (camera's) limitations." paraphrasing Dirty Harry...

Last summer, we spent a weekend in the Okanagan.  There, I learned that it’s amazing what you can find when you’re on holidays.

Our search for a fruit stand was finally successful when we found one, just south of Summerland.  I was going to go inside with my wife when I noticed the coolest, gnarliest old Chevy pickup truck parked outside.

Gnarly%20Old%20Truck-20170709-2-XL.jpg

To say that truck brought a smile to my face, would be the understatement of the year.  I happily clicked the shutter while Angela went inside, to find some fruit.

As it turns out, I got more images than she got fruit.  Early July was too soon for most growers.  Still, that truck was cool.

Thanks for looking, everyone.  :)

I had a nice jaunt this morning. I saw many contenders for March's challenge but the sun & shadows weren't being cooperative. I took a few shots, though. (I'd like to go back to the tractor when I have time and get a shot without the tree shadow running through it).
