I've been running the new firmware for a week while in the Smokies - more than 2500 images.  No issues and it is working fine.

 

The "glitch" being fixed with the firmware is relatively uncommon, but does happen.  It's a short refusal to fire - almost like using Focus Priority (even though the camera was set for release priority).  After a short delay the camera fires again normally.  The firmware apparently resolves that issue.
