Participated today in a B700 FB-group texture theme. Decided to photograph one of our wall deco's...

Just wondering what you Planateers think?  Needless, to say, I'm having a lot of fun getting used to this little mega-zoom monster.

B700 lens @50mm, 1/15s, f/8, ISO-1600 (handheld, aperture priority, macro setting and used a ring-flash in video mode to avoid shadows)

:)

Nice, Herman.  I don't know if you were trying to achieve symmetry, but you  really nailed it.  :)

As far as texture goes, plenty there, Herman.

My only nit.... it appears a little flatter than it should.  There should be some punch to it that is missing.

Could be my monitor, but that is what I am seeing.  It needs a little more depth.

Do you mean that I should add additional contrast, Art?

Not speaking for Art but I think a bit of contrast would highlight the woodwork a bit more. Other than that the B700 and the light setup did an excellent job!

That thought also occurred to me, Herman.  Just a bit of contrast.  :)

Nice captures. They both look good to me.

Thanks, Dennis.

Nice texture Herman. I'd like to see a shot with the mega zoom monster at full zoom.
