I took out the D7100, Tamron 150-600, and my monster tripod, Induro AT-413, and got a good one of Venus. As it goes more crescent, it gets closer to Earth and the apparent diameter will get larger. The first image is a 100% crop. The second one is cropped further and upsized to 850 pixels on the long side. 1/200, f/9, ISO 100, 600mm. The camera even autofocused on the tiny dot in live view mode!
The phases of Venus.
