Tornado went through, 6 reported in hospital, many homes destroyed - you really have no idea how viscious weather can be until you are in it, over in a matter of seconds. Luckily we were at the edge of it- roof shingles gone, back deck gone, storage sheds demolished and tree beside garage torn out of ground - but didn't tough the car! Someone was looking out for me!

I'm glad you're OK, Stan.
It was on the news. Widespread damage; one critical injury; and hundreds of thousands without power. Ottawa's mayor thought that it might be days before power is fully restored.
You're all in my thoughts and I hope that everyone stays safe.

Oh what happened? Hope no one was hurt.
Jim
Environment Canada thought that it was an EF-2 tornado. They have team en route for a detailed damage assessment. Unfortunately, there were injuries.

Ottawa mayor said 70 homes demolished or would have to be demolished-due to damage, amazing what 30 seconds of weather can do. I managed to escape the carnage (mostly)

Stan, I'm really glad that you're OK.
This morning I was reading that Environment Canada now says that there were TWO tornadoes. Yikes!

I'm really glad that you are ok...It's hard to image something like that...

Saw on the news it hit. You don't mess with Mother Nature!! We had a couple pass within a few miles of my place last year. One killed, 4 injured. Glad you are OK.
