Gentlemen:

Thanks for your comments... I really enjoy posting these especially for those not in the USA, Likewise, enjoy the scenery from Down Under and Just over the Pole in N. Europe. What a great medium we have in the WWW in allowing us to share images from our homes to homes all over the Globe. NOW... I call that cool, just get rid of 1/2 of the peddlers offering you something and the Web would really be a super tool.

Ciao,

Don

Nice shot, Don.

Especially appreciated as I rarely get to see photography from Northern CA.  :)

Very nice landscape, Don.

I just picked up a book on landscapes by Ansel Adams and other photographers. Trying to expand my appreciation of other subjects.

Thanks for your kind words.

Adams spent a great deal of his time in the Sierras. Back then... the cameras he used were four times the size of our D series Nikons. He packed them in and waited for perfect lighting, making many negatives in the 8X10 mask but what he did with them in the Dark Room, set him aside from all the other photographers of his time. His Gallery in Yosemite is worth the visit if you ever get to Yosemite Park.

Jim:

Thanks for your remarks.

Landscape is my favored mode of photography... probably because I love the country and sierras. Next would be Panoramas, they require a high level of precision, that I enjoy.. I shall begin to work on some Pano's now that the summer is in full swing, I will be spending much more time in the Sierras east of Sacramento and North of Sacramento.

Regards,

Don
