It is not so much and issue of WB as it is volume and balance of light.
Near the grip, you do not have enough light saturating the background. My guess is the light came from the top right.
This is where a white foam core tent comes in very handy. You can buy these sheets at a manageable size at the dollar store, I find them a must for this type of shot!
The light was top front and pretty much center its the light kit Peter sent use.
Might be the angle not sure but I struggled with the WB.
