Anyone have any suggestions how to record in movie mode on my D610 without having the internal microphone pick up the noise the camera makes when it focuses or refocuses.  It sounds quiet annoying after awhile.

Thanks in advance!

Manual focus or use an external mic - only options.

Thank you Black Pearl... the external mic is something that I had also considered...however was hoping for there may have been some kind of camera setting adjustment that would have also remedied that.  Thanks again!

No no camera setting that I know of as BP said manual focus is your only true camera option without getting an external mic. That's why cine lens are so popular with movie shooters decliked aperture rings and silky smooth MF with gears for follow focus devices.
