We took a trip, earlier in the summer to Hamilton, a City about an hour and 20 minutes from our home. Went more out of curiosity because we have always passed the signs to this place, but never actually went there.

So, this is a first.  It is a National Heritage Historic site. An 18,000 sq ft mansion, you can find the historical information on Wikipedia and other sites.  If you are ever looking for something to do, and Hamilton is not far, this is a fun place to visit.  Enjoy the images.  These people lived large in (1835) the day!!

Very impressive series, Art.  The interior images tell the real story.

No flash?  I'm betting that was no match for the low light capability of the D850.

I quite enjoy the National Historic Sites.  We loved the ones in Manitoba; and the ones in BC are also outstanding.  :)

Nice! Very impressive, I remember going to Ringwood Manor and Skylands Manor, I was like wow these people knew how to build a house.

The gardener must have quit the weeds in the front are showing! :P

Low light in the rooms was no problem.  I was quite impressed with the capabilities of the D850.

Like you, we too enjoy these heritage sites.  We have been to a fair number over the years.

They certainly knew how to put up a building that would last a few hundred years, that is for sure.  Unlike the stuff they put up today.

Yea, I see the weeds as well.  Most likely, the ban on the good pesticides .... the ones that killed, weeds, birds, bugs and people!  :P

Really!!  It has come full circle.

In a few short weeks, I may begin a very hazy journey, the road to which I know not where, and it may all be a fuzzy blur till I fade to black....or kaleidoscope ....
