$99 for a D40?? ln 8+ condition??? My D40 is in better condition than that and l'd probably be lucky to get $40 or 50 for it.

Actually, I nearly purchased another D50 the other day that was displayed on an Ebay (French dealer). Was in absolute mint condition for just 70 Euro's.

The D50 is nice. That was my first DSLR. But today it would be a deal breaker because the rear screen on those older bodies is so small.

I have seen D50's go for $50 locally.  A dealer will try to get what he can get.  If someone walks in and offers $50 they will probably take it.
