Undisclosed location (for the safety of the species - not KNP).

So tragic that these magnifcent animals are constantly under threat!

Love it, Herman.  A really beauty.

And, a sad commentary to the stupidity of man!

Another nice one.

That camera did well in your hands.

Thanks, Dennis.

Wonderful shot Herman!

I am not anti hunting I understand in many place deer need to be culled, bear have to be controlled and small game and rodents are plentiful and the seasons are controlled in killing these small game. Now I am not a hunter but that is a personal choice, all that said anyone who takes joy in killing big game and endangered species falls way below stupid and those who want ivory because it is nice to wear and look good are just as bad there is no reason these wonderful animals should be hunted for any reason.

Rant over sorry.

Nice shot! There needs to be some anti poaching crews in those areas, if ya know what I mean :)

Thanks. There are heavily armed anti-poaching units active aided by drones and other electronic devices. A good development but unfortnately no 100% guarantee...

What a beautiful creature.

I used to hunt for the meat and understand the need to keep certain species in check.  But to kill an exotic as a trophy or for some misguided believe that a substance created from its horn will give me great powers is wrong in all the ways.  With all the efforts to protect them we are creating what is essentially a large zoo.

From all of the pictures you have posted Herman it looks like you had a successful 'hunt'.  The best part  is that next week someone else will 'hunt' the same animal.
